Integral to our Performing Arts curriculum are our school concerts. Students showcase their skills in dance, music, singing and drama in a live theatrical setting. For many, preparing for and performing in the concert is a highlight of the school year.

At Fairfield Primary School, we hold three full-scale concerts each year where students highlight their creative talents. These performances are organised by year level groupings of Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6, and involve costumes, props, lighting and sound in a theatre setting. Some recent performances include:

  • Years 5&6: Mission Implausible – a fast-paced comedic play incorporating drama, music and dance. When the mischievous Dr Yes kidnaps the brilliant Professor Sandy Beach, four of MI5’s most unlikely agents must save the day. But with quirky characters like Paws, Tic-Tac and Number Two standing in their way, it won’t be an easy mission — or a quiet one!

  • Years 3&4: Fairfieldpalooza! – enjoy an energetic showcase of band performances and songs by our talented students. It's the palooza to end all paloozas!

  • Years 1&2: Christmas in July (in August)! – a showstopping song and dance performance celebrating the joy of Winter. Enjoy the festivities with singing, dancing, drama AND audience participation!

Foundation students also have the opportunity to perform for their families in a low-key end of year celebration at school. This singing performance showcases some of the songs the students have learnt across the year in their Performing Arts program.
