Art
"Art is humanity's most essential, most universal language. It is not a frill, but a necessary part of communication. The quality of civilization can be measured through its music, dance, drama, architecture, visual art, and literature. We must give our children knowledge and understanding of civilization's most profound works."
-Dr. Ernest L. Boyer
Visual Art involves taking a risk. It is a journey during which you are not quite sure where you will end up. At Fairfield Primary we are very passionate about art.

The astounding Nicholas Jones visited our school as part of the Artist Involvement Project. This initiative is subsidised by the Art Show funds to enrich our Art Program.
Nicholas shared his secrets of transforming a hard covered book into a work of art. We folded and folded and folded and sometimes cut to create spectacular book sculptures.
Our sculptures were exhibited at our Art Show on 1st August, 2009!
